Founded in 2009 and proudly based in Saskatoon, R3 Construction is an independent, family-owned company led by Joel and Dominique Rempel. With a legacy rooted in three generations of concrete expertise, we’ve grown into one of Saskatchewan’s most reliable teams for commercial and residential concrete work.
Our team of 15+ skilled professionals delivers projects across Saskatoon, throughout Saskatchewan, and across Western Canada. Whether we’re working on a multi-storey commercial build, a residential driveway, or city sidewalks, our focus remains the same: precision, communication, and accountability from start to finish.

Our History: Built from the Ground Up
The “R3” in R3 Construction stands for Rempel, third generation — a tribute to the family legacy of concrete craftsmanship that shaped the company.
Joel Rempel grew up around concrete. At just 12 years old, he was already working summers on the family farm, shovelling dirt and learning the value of hard work. Over the years, those early experiences evolved into a passion for building things that last — both in quality and reputation.
In 2009, during Saskatchewan’s housing boom, Joel saw a growing need for reliable, high-quality foundation work. That year, he launched R3 Construction as an independent venture, determined to bring precision, honesty, and process to a trade that’s too often overlooked.
The company quickly gained a reputation for its residential work, completing hundreds of concrete foundations, driveways, and pads across Saskatoon and the surrounding area. As demand grew, so did the team. By 2016, R3 Construction expanded into commercial concrete projects, applying the same standards of communication, safety, and excellence to large-scale developments.
In 2022, the company marked a major milestone by purchasing its own shop and yard — a sign of long-term stability and commitment to future growth. Today, R3 Construction employs a dedicated team of over 15 professionals and is actively working toward COR safety certification, with a focus on continual training, improvement, and expansion.
From small residential jobs to complex commercial pours, R3’s journey has been one of steady, principled growth — all built on a foundation poured decades ago.
